Travel Guide to Barcelona

Barcelona is one of Spain’s most beautiful cities and one of the world’s most visited cities. Famous forts, innovative architectures, ´Location espagne´, charming neighborhoods, and an entertaining nightlife ensure you will have a great time in Barcelona. Barcelona is a capital of a state known as Catalonia which has its own flag and the Catalonian language which you can see on the street signs everywhere. Everywhere you go, you will find beautiful architecture and buildings which were designed and built by world-known Antoni Guadi, Miles Der Rohe, and Caltavara. Examples of these buildings are Pavilion, Casa Batlo, and the Cathedral. Make sure you also visit the Picasso museum to see the beautiful work by Picasso.

When you are in Barcelona, you will need an easy method of transportation. The city’s metro is an easy method and there are stations all over the city. Metro lines are all over the city and can be distinguished by number and color. One metro ticket will cost you around one Euro for one journey but you purchase a metro card for eight Euros and that will give you 10 journeys. . Another thing you can’t miss is the beautiful Montjuic Fountain show that goes on for about two hours so try to catch some of it when you’re there. Another important site you should visit is Güell Park, which has many important museums. You can also have a picnic there or rent a boat from the lake there. Las Rambla is one of the most well-known streets there. There you can find restaurants, shops, and lots of street performers of all kinds in this famous street. Make sure you taste tapas which are a main dish in Spanish cuisine in one of these restaurants.

Locals here are very passionate about their football team FC Barcelona. Football matches are played in Camp Nou, which is also an important site in Barcelona. When it’s full it can seat over 95,000 people. If you are in Barcelona and the weather is great don’t forget to go to the beach which also has its own port. Barcelona also has a diversity of options to enjoy the nightlife where the parties don’t stop until the early hours of the morning. Whether you want to enjoy a drink with the locals, sip on a cocktail in trendy bars, or dance the night away, there are options for everyone. Well-known bars and clubs are Boadas bar, Sports Rambles Bar, Boulevard nightclub, and Kiosk Cazalla. The most important thing is to visit as much as possible and of course have fun as much as you can!
